[COOL Webinars | RTICT | Education] Task-based Language Teaching

This is the first of the Webinar Series from the Connected Open Online Learning (COOL) initiative from the Language and Humanities Group and RTICT Team in the Centre for Education, Innovation and Action Research (CEIAR).

Topic: Task-based Language Teaching: A Sneak Preview into Strategies
Facilitators: Surbhi Nagpal and Anusha Ramanathan
When: Monday, 13 April 2020 at 6:00 PM
Audience: Anyone interested in English Language Teaching, but primarily those in providing or managing education.

The webinar begins with an overview of what Task-based Language Teaching is about.

It quickly proceeds to activities or tasks for the participants to do from expressing what they are feeling to describing how others close to them might feel to creating short stories using a random word generator to drawing up a grocery list to drawing and guessing games.

It ends with aspects of why play is fun.

This webinar is informed by the work that the team has done as part of CLIx in school education, language teaching courses offered under RTICT and other initiatives.

The chats were rich, but due to privacy issues we chose to not share these for now. However, you can hear the facilitators responding to the typed chats as they speak.
